The final painting in what was a fairly lengthy series of flowers in glass vases. Sometimes I have to keep painting a theme until I've said everything I have to say about it!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I live in a small village in Ontario, Canada, surrounded by inspiring and vast wilderness: expansive lakes amid hillsides covered with tall pines and bold thrusting cliffs of the Canadian Sheild. I am a full-time professional artist/teacher, with my own gallery and picture frame shop, the Wilno Garden Gallery. I am especially happy when painting outdoors on location. I am fortunate to live in a beautifully scenic part of Ontario where a painting awaits around every rock and tree.
This blog displays my most up-to-date paintings, my thoughts about how to paint, my teaching schedule and adventures on my travels...please contact me if you are interested in buying a painting or coming to a workshop...613-756-7890 or joyceb@xplornet.com.

I love the lillies. They seem to be exploding like fireworks.
